This is part of a series, ‘According to the Prophets, Jesus is…’, which can be found on SoundCloud. The first part of this talk looks briefly at how Jesus can be both root and branch, but the second part is more focussed on the ‘deeply prophetic’ nature of the passages. These are; Jeremiah 23:1-6; Jeremiah 33:14-22; Luke 1:26-32. Jeremiah speaks of the shepherds who were scattering and destroying the flock and I point out how we are witnessing this again today.
